Correction about Debate

Debate is a wonderful instance because students practice not only one English skill, but use all of them speaking, reading comprehension, writing, and listening. For that reason, debate is very good for learners because it is a complete activity.

About our own experience; I believe that whole class enjoyed the debate because I could see and notice that everyone was very anxious and motivated about it. In addition, both groups did a work well because they studied and researched their topics in order to defend their points of views. For instance, the first group showed some fascinating facts which reflected that they managed their topic, such as statistics, books, interviews, authors, philosophers etc. Moreover, the for and against group were very tolerant when classmates were explaining their points. Both groups had clear ideas in order to defend their position. However, at the time of questions some responses were not well-developed and maybe that damaged both sides. Apart from that in some occasions the English language was wrong and that was a factor which resulted in the responses no being understood by the opposite group or audience.

With respect the second group; the ideas proposed by classmates were very attractive however, the against side was not presented and that affected the debate. Nevertheless, some responses were very attractive which made the audience could forget the mistake done by them. Also, there were some errors grammar and some opinions were not well explained. Despite of the bad organization of the group; the attitude that they took I liked too much and they tried to do their best. In my opinion, the group in favor won because their responses were argument well with true facts and their ideas were very clear at the moment to response the opposite group’s questions. Nevertheless, It is a bit difficult to say who won in the second group, but were very convince some of their responses.

In conclusion, about the whole activity I felt very enthusiastic and my classmates and I wanted to go on. I hope that this kind of activity we can make it more than once because it is a good and fun method of practicing.

About our own experience I believe that all class enjoyed the debate because I could see and notice that everyone was very anxious and motivated about it.

On the other hand, both groups did a well work because they studied and researched their topics in order to protect their points of views. In addition, the first group showed some interesting facts which reflect that they manage their topic such as, some statistics books, interviews, authors, philosophers etc. Moreover, the favor and against group were very tolerant and respectable when classmates were explained their points. At the same time, both groups had clear ideas in order to defend their position. However, at the time of questions some responses were not well developed and thinking and maybe that damage both sides. Apart for that in some occasions the English language was bad used and that was a factor which did that the responses could not be understand by the opposite group or audience.
With respect the second group the ideas that classmates proposed were very attractive however, the against side was not presented and that affect the debate. In my opinion, the group in favor about teacher certification won because their responses were argument with true facts and their ideas were very clear at the moment to response the opposite group’s questions.
For me it is a bit difficult to say who won in the second group but I can say that some of their responses were very convinced however I do not have good thoughts in order to say who won.
In conclusion, what happened to me that time was a bit short and I wanted to say more ideas. I felt very enthusiastic all the activity and my classmates and I wanted to go on.
I hope that this kind of activity we can do it more than once because it is a good and fun method where we can practice our English.

How Teachers should Design Their Class

There are some teachers who divide their class between smart children and slow students. In addition, this problem is always happening inside classrooms. At the same time, this method does not bring about benefits as in theory teachers suppose it will. In other words, what teachers need is integrate everyone in order to build an equal class.

Nowadays the government has invested a lot of money in order to have better teachers. However, the results have not been positive. In fact, until today antique methods are been applied by teachers which are not appropriates for their students such as separate the class in groups as intelligent students and slow pupils. As Jane Jacobs in The Death and Life of Great American Cities says that this idea of showing people what they can not to do or get only causes negative consequences because they tend to focus on their weakness (5-7).

On the other hand, Hardly ever have students the opportunity to be seated in a circle. Many mentors think that the discipline will be incontrollable. Nevertheless, Malcolm Gladwell, in "Designs for Working" offers that it is a good instance for people to be in the center of the room because they have the facility to share their opinions and receive feedback for part of their classmates (60). For that reason, it is crucial that children can interact with their pairs. In fact, this activity helps students to exchange ideas and find out other solutions about a problem. In addition, when students have the instructions completely clear the discipline is thoroughly manipulated.

Finally, if only teachers understood that children are different maybe discrimination would not exist. What children need is to feel that they are the principal characters of the class and teachers should give them the instance to express their thoughts . This method will transform the class in something dynamic and equal.

How to Handle Discipline Inside the Classroom

The article shows us some appropriate techniques that any teacher can use. Most of them do not know how to control students' behaviors. Moreover, misbehave creates several problems inside the classroom and teachers tend to apply some wrong ideas in order to manipulate their students. For example, shout them.
In addition, the article helps teachers to express their thoughts and ideas to students in a correct way. For instance, it is not used so much by teachers the first point (focusing). Teachers start their class thinking that children will pay attention, but that is not true. What children only want is to play and speak. At the same time, hardly ever have teachers been asking by themselves which are students' likes and interests. It is important that teachers look for some way to motivate students so as to catch pupils' attention.
Another point is Monitoring which is an excellent thought. Although it is something difficult for teachers do. Mentors have to do many thinks not only teach, they should complete the book class or pass the list etc. Perhaps, some students could assist him or her in this task.
